Jourdan is a copywriter and inquisitive content creator with a penchant for sharing stories online that open the door for discussion in real life. She writes copy that creates intrigue, serves a purpose and moves her audience to action.
A native New Orleanian, Jourdan earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University in 2011. Since graduation, Jourdan has studied effective storytelling techniques throughout her young professional career.
Right after college, Jourdan interned at a crisis communication firm in New Orleans and helped create content for clients like Shell Oil and the Tipitina’s Foundation. In 2012, she traded heat and humidity for the Windy City where she worked in startup operations for a luxury men’s and women’s clothing service retailer.
After several years of grinding in a high-growth startup environment, Jourdan joined the marketing team at a direct sales company headquartered in Chicago. There she oversaw the redesign of the new company website, conceived and implemented a strategic content communications plan and served as an editor for the bi-monthly business magazine.
Jourdan currently lives in Los Angeles, working toward her master’s degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University. She studies sustainability and how people in urban communities co-exist within their natural environment. You can find her working Monday through Friday at The Los Angeles Film School where she spends most of her time writing content for web, print and social. Every day she strives to create highly readable copy that excites and holds the attention of the modern reader. All of her varied life and career experiences have proven useful in writing for a living.
